Claudine McCormick, Executive Director of Our Beauty Within has an extensive history of encouraging positive body image and self esteem in girls and women.   She has experience working for a variety of non-profits and currently owns and directs the dance studio The Dance Within as a Middle Eastern Dance Instructor. Claudine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a focus on Women’s Studies from The University of California at Santa Cruz.  She is a team builder and ropes course facilitator certified with the Washington State University 4-H Program.

    Claudine is the director of two teen (girl-only) troupes:  Jewels of the Nile (ages 11-18y) and Diamonds in the Rough (8-13y).  As director and instructor she instills confidence in her students by teaching dance technique, choreography and organizing mentorship programs between the two troupes.  She is also the producer and director of “A Night of Belly Dance” productions.
