We are fighting a daily battle against negative media images that promote unhealthy body weights and an overall 
obsession with “what’s wrong” with our bodies. Body image is tied directly to self-confidence and self-esteem. 
Lack of self-worth can lead to: anxiety and depression, obesity, promiscuity, substance abuse, eating disorders,
and in the worst case scenario, suicide..  In addition to body image issues, girls are being bullied by other girls, 
anxious about attending middle school and worried about peer pressure. By helping girls feel confident and 
positive about their bodies we can help prevent these negative messages affecting young girls of today.   

We want to acknowledge and appreciate all the parents that sit down with their daughter and address these issues.  
For those girls that are not so lucky, let’s make sure we talk to them…
